2014 Walk to Cure Arthritis
San Antonio, TX
Saturday, May 17, 2014
The Walk to Cure Arthritis raises funds and awareness to fight the nation's leading cause of disability. We aren't just helping the millions of people who live with arthritis pain, we're funding research that's getting us closer to a cure.
The event features a three-mile and one-mile course, with arthritis information and activities for the entire family. Pet owners are encouraged to bring their dogs.
Let's raise funds to find a cure for arthritis, then come together to support each other and walk!
Join our team to have fun and help those living with arthritis! My name is Megan Grimsley and Iím a kinesiology instructor here at Northeast Lakeview College. I was diagnosed with psoriatic rheumatoid arthritis in my early teen years. It is what inspired me towards the career I have now. It is what inspired me to form this team.
Please consider joining my team the NLC Nighthawk Walkers, you do not have to be affiliated with NLC (Northeast Lakeview College) to join. Even if you cannot attend the walk itself on May 17th. Ask your friends and family if they would like to join and/or make a donation. Donations are not required but please know that a donation (even as little as $5) to the arthritis foundation will help fund arthritis research, education, and community programs. Help us find a cure for Arthritis! Thank you for your support.
